This is not the biggest wheel stand this car
has ever done. At the Chicago National event 2005 the car did not have wheelie bars and went straight up....all 4 wheels off
the ground and ripped off the parachute. This photo was taken at Woodburn, Oregon 2006.
The first Roadster at Orange
County International Raceway 1983 Jason (son)
and Debbie (daughter) on the return road being
towed back to the pits. Note the hand made radiator shell.
This is the first roadster with paint completed. It had flames,
black paint and lots of chrome. It was to be Best Appearing Car at the race until it crashed. The car was totally destroyed
in a crash at the finish line Sunday afternoon at the 1986 World Finals. The car hit the wall, rolled down the wall, went
back onto the track upside down and skidded to the end of the track, then caught on fire. Hollis had no injuries not even
a scratch.
