HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR YEAR

BIG PAY DAY
FOR RANDY BOWERS
Randy Bowers was paired with Val Torres Jr. 4th round at the Las Vegas Divisional Race. If Val won we would have finished in 2nd place. Hollis and Lee each put $ 50.00 bounty on Val. I think Randy was happy to increase his payday.

WELCOME HOME
Our grandsons, Josh and Jake made us a giant welcome home sign to celebrate our homecoming. That is a bottle of A&W Root Beer on the lower right corner. This was an exciting event and all of our neighbors could see how we finished the year.

MID ATLANTIC PRO GAS ASSOCIATION
The Mid Atlantic Pro Gas Association became our home away from home. Really a fun group and they know how to race!!! Tom Goldman took us under his wing and introduced us to everyone. Tom won the perfectly strange money and was runner up at Reading. The one thing we were taught by the group was eat first, race, eat again and race some more.

THE HOLLISTER HOUSE

Hollis is 11th generation Hollister. It was really special to see the original house. The house was built in 1675 and is in Glastonbury, Connecticutt. This house should be a museum, it looks so good. The tentants, it is a rental with a large family living in it, gave us a tour inside. Craftsmanship definitely has made this home last all of these years.

Another Hollister House was just down the street. This house was perfectly restored. The Hollister's built houses that last.

The beginning of our adventure started May at Yellowstone National Park. The late snow was really pretty and the best part is it also kept the tourist away. It felt like we were the only ones camping. The next stop was a week at Mt. Rushmore. That was breathtaking and amazing. We went to Sturgis, Deadwood, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Hill City that week. We took a bus tour that went through rock tunnels which were only inches larger than the bus. The bus tour through the tunnel was a kodak moment. Upon exiting the tunnel crowds of people were taking pictures hoping we would be stuck.

The famous Uncle Buck and the pig bar-b-que at Cecil County Raceway. He is an awesome cook and a really cool person. It was worth the trip to Maryland just to eat his cooking. This particular meal was a 150 pound pig with all the trimmings.
